(Indianapolis, Indiana, April 2, 2014) Each year Living Well hosts this free meet and greet open to garden enthusiasts from around the city to exchange seeds, transplants and ideas. This is an excellent way to try new seed varieties, save money, preserve heirloom varieties, and locate hard to find seeds.
On Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM, the community
gardeners invite you to bring your seeds and transplants. Living Well will
provide bags, labels and markers for the treasures you want to take home as
well as herbal teas and snacks for free. This event is a great ntroduction to seeds and planting for first time gardeners, even if you don’t have seeds to exchange. Backyard and Community gardeners with years of experience will freely offer suggestions, tips and more.
Living Well Community Garden is located on the eastside of Indianapolis in
the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood at 2415 North Rural, Indianapolis,
Living Well Community Garden was established in 2011 to provide healthy
organic food, neighbor-to-neighbor engagement, create a safe green space
for the families to enjoy and demonstrate urban gardening techniques that
can be used in backyard gardening when the soil quality is less than
