Build your skills at the Leadership and Volunteerism Summit
The Central Indiana Corporate Volunteer Council, Leadership United, and Central Indiana Association of Volunteer Administration bring you the sixth annual Leadership & Volunteerism Summit on Friday, March 13. The summit will begin with breakfast and the presentation of the 2015 Leadership & Volunteerism Awards.
Assist low-income Hoosiers, sign up to be a tax preparer
United Way of Central Indiana is currently recruiting volunteers for the 2015 tax season for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. VITA offers complimentary tax assistance to taxpayers who cannot afford professional assistance. Participating volunteers will prepare basic federal and Indiana tax returns for low-income taxpayers, including the elderly and people with disabilities. Women Leaders: Leading Change moderated by Marianne Glick
Leadership Ignited is a NEW leadership development program offered by United Way of Central Indiana. The next Leadership Ignited series, Women Leaders: Leading Change, will run on four consecutive Tuesdays, April 28 – May 19, 2015 and includes two full days and two half days. Entrepreneur, philanthropist and artist Marianne Glick will moderate this exciting experience. Applications will be available in early March.
Leadership Link is a new program that offers companies customizable leadership training and volunteerism experiences focused around one of our priorities: Education, Income, Health or Basic Needs. Your team will participate in training, a volunteer project and wrap up your experience discussing how we can all work together to drive change in our community.
