Y-Future Leaders Program

FOR:

Targeted youth ages 12-19

WHEN:

Mondays and Tuesdays 5:30-7:30

Cost:

FREE

WHAT:

A social skills and character development program targeting youth ages 12-19 involved in/or at risk of entering the Juvenile Court system. Youth will be offered drug prevention and life skills sessions, workforce development training, and health and wellness recreation activities. The Y-Future Leaders program helps youth with making healthy decisions, while providing academic support, job-readiness skills, and positive social interaction with mentors to help them develop leadership skills.

WHY:

To create opportunities for students to develop life skills, foster self-discovery, and enhance critical thinking by exposing them to community resources and positive adult leaders.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Registrations are on going for the upcoming cohorts. Registration forms are available at the member services desk at the Avondale Meadows YMCA.
