Indiana Black Expo announced today that it will honor Actor and Executive Producer Anthony Anderson with the 2015 Screen Image Award at the Pacers Sports and Entertainment Corporate Luncheon presented by Indiana University. The Corporate Luncheon will be held on Friday, July 17th at the Indiana Convention Center as part of the 45th Annual Summer Celebration.
“It’s an honor to bestow the Male Screen Image Award upon Anthony Anderson for achievement in the entertainment field, said Tanya Bell, IBE president & Chief Executive Officer. “This award recognizes individuals who have gained national recognition for their artistic ability in the entertainment industry. IBE is elated to celebrate his work in front and behind the camera during our Annual Corporate Luncheon,” added Bell.
Anderson discovered his passion for acting via his mother, and attended a performing arts high school, subsequently earning a scholarship to attend Howard University. He graduated with a theater arts degree in 1993. Anthony Anderson is currently starring and Executive Producer of ABC’s New Co medy “black-ish” which airs Wednesdays. He is also the host on Food Network’s “Eating America” and formerly a member of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning drama “Law & Order.” Anderson has appeared in over 20 films, and his performance on “Law & Order” earned him his second consecutive NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for the 2008 season.
The Corporate Luncheon is the largest luncheon in the state of Indiana with nearly 3,000 guests.
