Indiana Black Expo’s Youth and Family Programs Department strives to serve as a catalyst throughout Indiana to foster relationships between businesses, governmental agencies, educational institutions, youth service agencies, churches and other community based organizations.

Miss Circle City Classic® 2015
Circle City Classic® Coronation

Applications for the 31st Annual Circle City Classic® Coronation are available. We are ready to crown the next Miss Circle City Classic®. The Coronation is one of  many events leading up to the annual Circle City Classic® football game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Interested participants must be a 2016-2017 graduating senior with at least a 2.7/4.0 grade point average (GPA). Participants are rated on academics, teamwork, attitude, communication skills, community involvement, and attendance. The Coronation is a scholarship pageant with workshops that assist in college readiness.  To apply CLICK HERE.

Circle City Classic® Scholarship
Indiana Black Expo is committed to assisting Indiana students in their pursuit of higher education. Scholarships are awarded to current high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a post secondary institution who exhibit outstanding leadership, scholarship and community service. More than $3.7 million has been awarded to students since 1984.
Scholarship requirements:
  • Must be a high school senior or an undergraduate student
  • Must be an Indiana resident
  • Must have demonstrated academic success with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Must enroll full-time at an accredited college, university, community or junior college or vocational/technical program in the fall of 2016
  • Must demonstrate financial need and/or must be a first generation college student (first to enroll in post-secondary education institution in your immediate family)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident in possession of a valid Alien Registration Receipt Card (INS Form I-551, commonly known as a “green card”)
  • Must complete a scholarship application
  • May not be a family member of IBE Board of Directors or staff – which includes children, siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, first cousins, grandparents, nieces and nephews
  • Must not be placed on academic probation by the university to receive the second disbursement of the annual scholarship award
