The Red Pump Project Newsletter

Are You Ready to #RocktheRedPump?

We are.

Today is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and we are asking you to #RocktheRedPump with us! While we want to see your fabulous footwear, we also want to hear from you on why HIV is an important issue in your lives. Our goal is to encourage women of all ages feel empowered to talk to their networks about HIV prevention, testing, and treatment.

Here are five things that you can do today to show your support.

1. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and tell us why you #RocktheRedPump.

2. Wear red shoes (pumps, sneakers, whatever) on March 10, upload pics of you in red shoes to social media, and use the hashtag #RocktheRedPump.

3. Read today’s post on our blog, in which we share why every woman needs to add HIV testing to their to-do list.

4. Make a tax-deductible donation to help us continue to accomplish our mission and increase our impact.

5. Download the square button below and post on Instagram (and Facebook and Twitter), including the hashtag #RocktheRedPump.

Join Us for Cupcakes & Condoms

This past weekend, we hosted Cupcakes & Condoms in Charlotte, NC. Now, we are preparing for our next two events which take place in Atlanta and Washington D.C. If you are in either of these cities, join us for an afternoon of free desserts and dialogue about how HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) impact local women.

#RocktheRed Returns for the Seventh Year!

Our signature fashion show and fundraiser, Rock the RED, will take place in Chicago on Saturday, March 19 at Loft on Lake (1366 W. Lake Street, Chicago, IL). Tickets are on sale now and we hope that you will join us for an evening of style and awareness.

Thank you to our sponsors: AIDS Healthcare FoundationAT&T, Walgreens, Michael Stars, Tees in the Trap, and the Nigerian American Professionals Association.

Our financial support is key to ensuring that The Red Pump Project can maintain its efforts to bring important conversations about HIV to the forefront for women and girls in our communities. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today via our fundraising page.
