From Me To You~With Love…

personal Black Girl Magic

From Me To You With Love….

When I first started The Evolution! Society Blog January 2013, I didn’t know how far it would bring me. It started as a hobby during that time as an outlet, I was struggling with a failed relationship, crossroads in my career and having difficulties adapting to new surroundings as being a new mom. Little did I know that more than 5 years later it would help mold me into the strong confident woman I am today. The Evolution! Society not only brought some amazing people in my life, it has offered me one of a kind and life changing opportunities.

I always said I would continue to do this until it was no longer my passion and that day has come. I took awhile to think about it and without getting into too much detail, I have decided to close the site down indefinitely.  I struggled with the decision to close The Evolution! Society, because for 5 years we have grown not only as a group but also as individuals.  Many of us are embarking on new personal and professional paths, and new projects

But before we part ways, I want to personally thank the many readers who helped to grow The Evolution! Society into the well known brand it is today….and we are still growing. Without your support none of this would have been possible. I want to offer you a sincere thanks for being a part of this journey, but there’s a big silver lining here. The Evolution! Society will still be in the community full-time making partnerships with organizations dedicated to elevating the careers of young entrepreneurs through community building, events and incredible online resources.

So you see we are not saying good-bye, just see you later on another platform level ~ we are taking our community by storm. I know many of you will be upset about the site closing but I hope to inspire you all to live your best life on your terms and continue to reach new goals that YOU set for yourself.  With that being said our last day on this site will be March 1, 2018, until then rock with us and go down memory lane to review history posts. As always you can catch us on our many other platforms that will still be accessible on a daily basis.  There will be new weekly posts, community news, up to date pics, new outlet for adventures and more. We look forward to staying connected with you and grow with us in a whole new beginning!

“My Life, My Vibe” January 2018

blogcation 1

Welcome To 2018

Looking ahead, I will keep it short and sweet. Around this time many people are creating their vision boards, writing their new year’s resolutions, or simply planning for 2018. I have yet to start any of that because I still have some unfinished business with 2017. So in order to prepare for 2018 I need to reflect on what took place in 2017. So here is how I set my goals for 2018. What I add to this list is based on my reflections, prayers, and conversations that I’ve had that have been enlightening. These categories are not particularly in any order of importance with the exception of the first four:

  1. Spiritual- my relationship with God as a Believer in Christ
  2. Relational- my relationships with people (family, friends, acquaintances, etc.)
  3. Financial- my relationship with money
  4. Health and Wellness- my relationship with my physical body
  5. Career- my next steps to move forward and my current responsibilities
  6. Educational- “learning begins at birth and ceases at death”- challenging myself intellectually
  7. Blog- my plans for The Evolution! Society Brand
  8. Community Involvement- giving back to others- developing a spirit of generosity
  9. Character Building- How can I become a better me?
  10. Leisure/Self-Care- Doing things that I enjoy and that make me feel awesome!

So these are the areas of my life that I reflect on when developing goals for the new year and also when developing my vision board. I create a table and list a few bullet points for what I want to do throughout the year pertaining to those areas. Some categories can have somewhere between 3-5 bullet points, others may have one. I just depends on what I want to accomplish. I keep it posted near my night stand and jewelry board so I see it constantly.

How do you prepare for the New Year?

Music Mixx….Gene Moore

Gene Moore: “Coming Home” [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO]

Have you ever had a moment where you kind of felt disconnected and yearned to be back in the presence of God? In “Coming Home,” Gene Moore speaks of a Father and son relationship that he wants to build up – something we all can relate to.

“There was a point when I had a shift in my mentality, where I realized it was time to get it together,” Moore said. “God told me that I didn’t need to be perfect to come back home, that He’ll do the perfecting part…just get closer to Him.”

Watch his performance of “Coming Home” below in the latest Motown Gospel Music Session.

ABOUT GENE MOORE
Profound, beautiful and deeply personal, Gene Moore, opens both his heart and soul on his debut album, THE FUTURE. An exceptional blend of vocals and heartfelt lyrics, THE FUTURE, is a strong entree into music as Moore is being heralded as one of the brightest new voices in music. His smooth, gospel-inflected sound sets him apart from today’s popular climate of praise and worship fare.

Moore teamed up with a host of like-minded writers and producers on THE FUTURE who helped bring his musical testimony to life. The 8-track album is constructed beautifully with uncomplicated production, which allows Moore’s vocal talent to shine. It is an album that is easy to listen to while offering a full picture of who Gene Moore is. With tunes that are based around love, light and healing, THE FUTURE is inspirational, powerful, and relevant.

“My Life, My Vibe” December 2017

lemons

Happy December Everyone,

I Am Back, did you miss me I’ve missed you guys. It’s been rough these last few months between my work, balancing lif, & this blog. My goal was to balance it all and I can but I often let insecurities and self doubt get in the way, if one failed I felt as I have failed everything instead of tweeking what needs to be worked on, I thru in the towel on EVERYTHING too soon. I know how challenging it is to get a business off the ground while maintaining the daily routine of getting dinner on the table, making sure the kids are in bed on time, and still making time to nurture your relationship with your significant other. It’s a lot to ask of one woman, and sometimes we have to be ok with letting little things slide while we keep our eyes on the big picture.

So in light of this month’s theme, “The Good Life” you’ll be seeing a lot of fresh content that you have been asking for regarding lifestyle changes and how to adapt. “When life gives you lemons make grape juice and sit back and watch the world ask how you did it.” (Tori Truax).  As you’ve probably noticed over the years, my team and I tackle themes along to each month letting you know what to expect when it comes to content and conversations that pertain to the entrepreneurship empowerment, lifestyle trends, art/cultural events, community workshops and small business start-ups. I love to see people prosper and live out their best life, all the while struggling in my own unbalanced life.

Everyone wants and deserves to be happy after all that’s all we are looking for in this thing called LIFE. Come January I will be hosting a new podcast and conducting interviews with people who are living their best life as part of “The Good Life Project 2018”. I also I want to recognize all you multi-tasking business mavens here by featuring a mompreneur bi-monthly, and community game changers of the month there will be a chance to be interviewed by me and have your business featured here on The Evolution! Society…more details to come.

I can’t wait to meet all you mompreneurs and community engagers!  Plus we will still include your Motivational Mondays, Wellness Wednesday and “Things We Are Lovely Lately.  So go out and catch life with some gratitude this season….we look forward to seeing you out in the community …stay tuned and be inspired…many blessings!

We look forward to being of continued service to you and I hope you will enjoy the benefits of our new co-op networking community. Please let us know what you’re doing in your business and community, your feedback is very important to us! Positive Mind…Positive Vibe…Positive Life

What do you plan on doing new this month?

XOXO
