It’s August already…wheew yet and still there is more living to do. If your anything like me at the beginning of the year as I indicated I’m not very well at making New Years’ Resolutions…I’m better at making short term goals throught the year. So this year I had decided to engage in a Vision Board Party with one of my friends.

The catchy melody of Jamie Grace’s new song “Hold Me” actually first came as a jingle she created while describing her “snuggie.” As she continued to describe her blanket and add words to the tune, she came to the realization that God’s love embraced her so much more than any physical commodity ever could.
“The greatest love I ever knew had nothing to do with a blanket with sleeves, but everything to do with a God that was holding me and would never let me go.”
Jamie Grace is a 21-year-old singer, songwriter, actress a Contemporary Christian musician, and actress from Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010 she was discovered via her YouTube channel by TobyMac and signed to his label Gotee Records. She released the song “Hold Me” in 2011 (landing her a nomination at the 2012 Grammys) and won the 2012 Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.
Jamie performs and speaks throughout the country, despite being diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at the age of 11. She will be touring with TobyMac this fall, and you can find her on Women of Faith’s Revolve Tour in 2012 as she joins other artists to inspire women in their walk with God.

- Look at your vision board often and feel the inspiration it provides.
- Hold it in your hands and really internalize the future it represents.
- Read your affirmations and inspirational words aloud.
- See yourself living in that manner.
- Feel yourself in the future you have designed.
- Believe it is already yours.
- Be grateful for the good that is already present in your life.
- Acknowledge any goals you have already achieved.
- Acknowledge the changes you have seen and felt.
- Acknowledge the presence of God in your life.
- Acknowledge the Law of Attraction at work in your life.
- Look at it just before going to bed and first thing upon rising.

OH NO! Shonda Rhimes Reveals Exactly When ‘Scandal’ Will End

Shonda Rhimes is keeping it real with “Scandal” again, which comes as a shock for some fans of the show.
She revealed last November she knows when and how “Scandal” will end, but recently she revealed more. She said the political thriller won’t last as many as eight seasons.
The Hollywood Reporter got the details about why Rhimes believes “Scandal” shouldn’t last so long. This comes after she officially confirmed Harrison (Columbus Short) being killed off.
“His absence will be explained definitively. What you think happened to his character happened to his character,” Rhimes said.
She added in reference to the gladiators’ reactions to Harrison’s death, “Olivia, really, but all the Gladiators are. It will be very devastating for Abby in a surprising way. You’ll see how she’s coping with it in a very different way than you would expect.”

Looking to broaden their horizons (and the brand), the twins told E! News that they’re penning their own run of line of YA books titled Twintuition.
Their first book, Double Vision, is slated to be released by HarperCollins in April 21, 2015. Tia and Tamera haven’t divulged any details about what the series will be about, but prospective readers should expect a fantastic adventure when they crack open the tome.

Tara Walker: Jersey City Swears In First Ever Black Woman Firefighter In Department’s History

It was 143 years in the making, but Jersey City has sworn in its first Black female firefighter, reports NJ.com.
Tara Walker, 31, a former basketball star at Jersey City’s Marist High School, is now one of six women in the department.

“I knew there were a few women; they were teasing me, and things like that,” Walker said in a Ch. 7 Eyewitness News interview.
The diverse class includes two black men, four Hispanic men and an Asian man, city officials pointed out.
